Characteristics:
- CuCrZr contact tips offer excellent performances compared to normal copper (Cu) contact tips.
- As the electrical conductivity is higher in a CuCrZr alloy, the arc transfer will encounter less resistance and the contact tip will wear out less quickly.
- As the mechanical and thermal resistances are also higher than those of a copper alloy, constraints, especially due to wire friction and arc temperature, will be better tolerated with a CuCrZr contact tip.
- Used in robotic welding for these advantages, the CuCrZr contact tip can also improve the performance of manual MIG/MAG welding.
